Really interesting notion from +Jamie Heywood of Patients Like Me at #healthfoo: the probability that a published scientific result is true is the cost of the study to make a claim divided by the cost of a study to refute the claim. I’m hoping that he’ll publish his Ignite talk in which he makes that case. (The bad news: an awful lot of scientific studies these days are crap.)
